Hats and Whiskey

It is a well know knitter-fact that if you handknit a gift for someone (a baby in particular), that gift will be the "best gift" of the day. That or a bottle of whiskey. David and I scored on both counts this past weekend. While I enjoyed a baby shower for the mom-to-be, he headed to a beer-n-brat event for the dad-to-be. My gift: Aviatrix hats for the twin girls His gift: whiskey We received a lovely note from the soon-to-be parents "...you two won the "best gift"award - twice. The knit hats are ridiculously adorable and the perfect style for our twins - right down to the Hello Kitty aviators on the buttons. And of course a beautiful bottle of whiskey is what every man really wants to get no matter what the occasion. Thank you, thank you." It made me smile...and wish I could write such a lovely note.
